VACANCIES AT LM ERICSSON NIGERIA LTD


Ericsson a leader in the international telecommunications industry requires the services of dynamic, first class engineers to fill to fill the following vacant positions in our Real Estate and Facilities Management (REFM) Department. The positions are permanent and are based in Lagos, Nigeria

POSITION 1: FLEET MANAGER
Development of fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies
Management of risk related training such as safety and accident prevention programmes for drivers
Monitoring of contracts for compliance and control costs
Monitoring of general expenditure of unit
Performance of quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards
Handling the department's administrative duties
Responding to complaints from various departments
Harmonising and building a formidable transport network for the entire organization
Integrating people with diverse cultures and developing a good team spirit in order to actualize a seamless, professional
service

POSITIONS 2: REFM COORDINATOR
Preparing and managing unit's budget
Coordinating all Real Estate and Facilities maintenance activities
Harmonising all operations that will lead to reduction of overall costs
Monitoring of general expenditure of unit
Performance of quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards
Handling the department's administrative duties
Managing and coordinating special departmental Civil Works activities and other related projects in the region
Coordinating and managing relocation exercises
Coordinating janitorial service providers ensuring that work is executed according to Ericsson standards
Responding to complaints relating to the functionality of properties and equipment in use
Ensuring that the boardroom and conference rooms are always up to standard
Supervision of mechanical and electrical functionalities and general office facilities
Integrating people with diverse cultures and developing a good team spirit in order to actualize a seamless, professional service

POSITION 3: TRAVEL COORDINATOR
Coordinating the company's travel needs i.e. scheduling hotel & flight accommodation, '
ensuring that company travel needs are met within the constraints of the travel budget
Setting up a travel bUdget
Establishing employee travel policy
Acting as liaison with external travel agency
Managing inplant travel agency
Making reservations and selecting transportation and lodging for company within
company's economic guidelines
Convention planning & corporate aircraft administration
Organisation of employee group vacation
Preparation of annual bUdgets and periodic reports on operating costs
Coordinating monthly travel spend report; savings and missed savings
Implementing company travel policy & educating staff on travel decisions and advising employees on passport and visa
requirements, rates of currency exchange and import duties

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
a) Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business / Transport Administration or Estate Management as appropriate.
Professional qualifications in the area of specialisation would be an advantage
Minimum five (5) years' experience in a similar role

b) Knowledge & General Skills
Sound knowledge of Operations Management principles
Financial management skills pertaining to operational analysis and development
Good planning and administrative skills
Good negotiation and co-ordination skills
Good business acumen

c) Personal Traits
Ability to think logically, analytically and creatively
Appreciation of and ability to adhere to Ericsson's core values of Professionalism, Respect and Perseverance
Ability to lead and operate within a team framework effectively
