BRISTOW IS RECRUITING

Bristow Helicopters, part of the Bristow Group is looking for potential Helicopter Pilots.

Bristow is the only aviation company in in the country that has consistently trained local Pilots over, the past 25 years.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Nigerian Nationals as Trainee Helicopter Pilots. The company will sponsor its selected candidates on a Pilot training scheme. Successful candidates will be employed as Pilots by Bristow.

Candidates should possess a minimum degree (2nd class Lower Division) from a recognised University with at least one (1) year post N.Y.S.C experience.

Candidates with, or currently undergoing, a Commercial Pilot license (CPL - A or H) Course or, already in possession of an ICAO equivalent License, would also be considered.

In addition, candidates should possess the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (S.S.C.E) or its equivalent with a minimum of five (5) credits in one sitting, including English Language, Mathematics and Physics.

The candidate must be between 22 - 28 years old and fluent in, and have a proper understanding of the English language.

The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a keen interest and knowledge of aviation relate subjects. The selection process will involve written examinations, problem solving, computer-based aptitude test, medical and a series of interviews.

• IDENTIFY CAPACITY BUILDING NEEDS IN CSOS, HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY AND MEDIA ORGANISATIONS IN THE STATE. COORDINATE CAPACITY BUILDING FOR THESE PARTNERS THROUGH SERVICE PROVIDERS AS REQUIRED

• MANAGE DELIVERY OF ADVOCACY PROJECTS AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO GRANT FUNDED PROJECTS, AND MENTOR CSO LEADERS ON PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION, COALITION BUILDING & ADVOCACY

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• RECOGNISED POSTGRADUATE QUALIFICATION IN A RELEVANT DISCIPLINE

• 10 YEARS RELEVANT EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING WORK WITH CSO, CBOS, COALITIONS AND NETWORKS AND THEIR INTERFACE WITH GOVERNMENT MDAS.

• A TEAM PLAYER WHO IS ABLE TO COORDINATE VARIOUS STREAMS OF WORK TO ACHIEVE AGREED GOALS.

• SKILLED IN REPORT WRITING , GOOD WRITTEN AND ORAL ENGLISH, AS WELL AS FLUENCY IN THE DOMINANT LOCAL LANGUAGE (FOR THE RELEVANT STATE), FACILITATION, COMMUNICATION AND PRESENTATION SKILLS

• COMPUTER LITERATE, CONVERSANT WITH MS EXCEL, WORD , POWER-POINT AND THE INTERNET

• VALID NIGERIAN DRIVING LICENSE.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• DEMONSTRATE IN DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA STRATEGIES, INCLUDING ITS DESIGN AND SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION.

• MINIMUM OF 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A LARGE ORGANISATION IN A MULTI DISCIPLINARY TEAM, WHERE CROSS-LEARNING WAS A KEY COMPONENT OF THE FULFILLING MANAGEMENT OBJECTIVES

• 1ST DEGREE SUPPORTED BY A POSTGRADUATE QUALIFICATION IN MEDIA, COMMUNICATIONS AND / OR KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
